Pros

As a member of the "Leadership Team," one get the opportunity to dive-into responsibility and to see new ideas implemented, as LCS is one of NYC's fastest growing housing developers

Cons

Like most not-profits, one should not expect to make a "career" with LCS unless one is willing to risk stifling personal/professional development and/or watch top executives create imprudent decisions that often negatively impact direct service delivery to impoverished consumers. The higher you go, the greater the absence of an appreciation for/praxis of behavioral economics.

Cons

Pay sucks. Salary is capped at 50k for case managers with an LMSW. They do not care to increase the salary. The monies are alloted to upper management. Trainings are not centered around what the frontline employees want, instead is based on what the executive ťeam wants. Depending on where you are located, you will either have a good team or not. If you are on a bad team, run. You will not be supported. If you are looking for growth don't come here. It's a one stop shop. It's recommended for individuals coming out of school.
