Pros
Lascar offers a stellar work experience. You will be immersed within a large company overall, but it will be clear that company cares about you as an individual. The leadership team really does everything they can for their employees and the unique challenges that life throws at us.
This was my first job after graduating college and I couldn't have wished for a more pleasant place to work. Within engineering, I had a wealth of knowledge across many different disciplines at my disposal -- anything I needed to learn simply required a quick discussion with a coworker or a phone call with our UK office. Additionally, Lascar is continually redeveloping its products and everything in the pipeline looks extremely impressive. The sales team is very productive and consistently finds new leads who have exciting new products that need developed.
From my experience in the US office specifically, I can tell you that your time is valued and that you will feel welcomed in the office. Your responsibilities are accomplishable 9-5 -- anything past that will just show your dedication to the job. Honestly, I felt respected enough at this job that the few times I had to stay late didn't bother me at all. At the moment, it's a great group of people who get along well together. The US office frequently has food events, happy hours, and similar events.
Thank you Lascar for an enjoyable work experience!
Cons
Sometimes reliance on overseas offices can be frustrating and time consuming. Pay could definitely be improved in some roles, especially as they compare to same job titles within Erie.
