Pros
LAFL at first seemed like the ideal workplace for young people passionate for travel. The position is one of the best paying that a foreigner living in Lima can expect. Because the majority of the work can be done from a laptop, the hours were mostly flexible with remote access. My coworkers at time of hiring were also very agreeable.
Cons
Unfortunately the cons much outweighed the benefits. After receiving inadequate training, the position is highly stressful and is constantly pushed to make more and more sales, without being given the liberty or resources to do so. Management on more than one occasion acted unethically towards its employees, making rash changes that seriously effected both its long term and new staff. This translated into a negative work environment with feelings of distrust and insecurity. Also, with diminishing hiring standards, the newer staff became more burdensome and less agreeable for long term employees.
