Pros
The only pros I can give is that the culture there is fun when you first walk in, games and such, but besides that it wasn't my favorite position unless you're a sales person. If you like sales and commission based jobs, this is perfect.
Cons
Just so everyone is aware, this position was really sketchy. Even the location itself was sketchy. Basically what they do is call you saying they're interested in your resume and want to make an interview. You take a virtual, video interview which is already weird itself. After that, if you did well, the manager calls you back and invites you for an interview. You come in and they're really nice and whatever but everything they say is beating around the bush. I asked about benefits and they said they kick in after 90 days. The only "benefits" is a health reimbursement of I believe $100. That's it. Next, I asked what the position exactly entails. They stated some thing along the lines of, "You will represent our clients with face to face customers in a retail setting." Literally just a fancy way to say, "You will put up a booth in Walmart and sell DirecTV and AT&T to any person that walks by." You can be expecting to drive anywhere between 10 minutes to 2 hours away everyday to go to the different Walmarts in Oklahoma. And no, you do not get reimbursed for the gas. Also, I asked about pay and they straight up said it is base pay PLUS commission. That is definitely a lie. This position is 100% commission. Your quota for the week is around $750-$1000 a week but if you don't hit that mark then the company is required to pay you "the base pay" of $7.13 an hour(about $300 a week). But let's say you didn't hit your quota for the week and make only $150 for the week. The company will have to pay you the extra $150 to hit that $300 and then next week you actually hit $750? They'll take that $150 back so you end up with $600 instead. So if they explain all of this in the very beginning of interviews without lying and painting a picture of something that doesn't exist, they wouldn't have such a high turnover rate. Not including if you dont hit those standards 3 weeks in a row, you're fired. So yeah, if you're the type of person that likes commission and is great at sales, then go for it. You can make some big bucks since you make abour $150 per sale. Just remember though that if you plan on moving up, you'll have to be able to conduct these exact interviews with other people who will also take the bait, and hope they stay so that you can have 10 people on your team so that you move out and be a manager elsewhere. But if you're expecting this to be something completely different because of the way they talk to you on the phone and in the interview, be warned.
