Seeing the students' progress at the end of the program is inspiring.

Leadership will visibly and audibly lose patience and will chastise people during team meetings. The lack of active listening and behavior in front of others does not foster open communication or the opportunity to ask questions directly and without fear. They say they want growth but leadership does not take feedback/ criticism well. There is also a clear divide in the definition of company culture. They set unrealistic goals ( 145 volunteer recruitment in 2 months). And they'll schedule things on top of events, label it optional in the calendar, and then say that it's your fault no one came to the event. They'll also ignore the positive efforts you put in and will only make negative remarks during a 120-day review. Be warned this company is in a very juvenile phase of growth and they have a lot to learn. Hopefully, they hire a 3rd party to train on how to be a strong leader, and develop a strong company culture where employees are actually happy to be there. If I hadn't been let go, I would have quit anyways.
