Pros

As for job pros? In my honest experience, there weren’t any—because a workplace that makes you feel disrespected, unsafe, and unheard can’t offer real “benefits,” no matter what’s written on paper.

Cons

I worked at Lazy Day Foods for only a few days, and my experience was extremely negative. From day one, I felt unsupported and poorly treated. I never received a proper warehouse tour or safety introduction, which left me unsure about procedures. Instead of being trained, I was blamed and spoken to harshly about things no one had ever explained to me. During my short time there, the behavior of management and some staff made the environment feel hostile. When I tried to help another employee, the situation became unprofessional and left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Even basic water or toilet breaks seemed to annoy supervisors, creating an unnecessary atmosphere of stress and intimidation. I was ultimately fired for taking “too long” on a break while I was on the phone with my doctor—something I clearly communicated in the moment. To me, this showed a complete lack of understanding, compassion, and basic respect for employees’ wellbeing.
