Pros
I worked here for one year, and in that year I was able to learn ABA firsthand, and get certified in First Aid and CPI. They also offer benefits once you become full-time, which happens if you show a desire to take kids home on a van route after school. I don't know many other opportunities where you can get so much support, resources, and facilities while working one-to-one with a child with special needs. You get a lot of freedom to do what you learn is best for your student, and you can receive feedback and help from the teacher in your classroom. The work culture is also very friendly, and people always offer help if they see another aide having trouble with a student. Getting help is very accessible, especially if you get an aggressive student.
Cons
It is great to build experience, but the pay was on the lower end of what I noticed many special needs aides receive from other schools. Each aide's pay rate varied a little according to your previous experience and education, however.
