Pros

Some good people work here Competitive salary Flexible working hours

Cons

There are some serious bad apples among the management and day-one engineers. Where in many companies there is the focus to keep hierarchy as flat as possible, at Lean things can't be further from that. There is a constant game of politics and power. If you are a person keen to give feedbacks and discuss problems in a constructive way with the goal of finding the best solution and trade-offs , this isn't the right place for you.

Firstly thank you for your review and honesty. We appreciate your feedback and take your comment seriously as we’re always trying to improve and evolve in all facets of our culture as we scale. Problem solving and open-communication are two extremely key pillars of the culture we’re trying to build at Lean, so we’re sorry to hear you didn’t feel this was an environment in which you could do this. There are challenges that arise across all levels and teams daily within a startup like ours, and we want to ensure our employees not only feel comfortable embracing those challenges, but also feel empowered and comfortable with sharing their feedback and ideas at all levels internally. This is imperative for Lean to reach our goals. We wish you the best with your future endeavours!

Pros

The Riyadh office is actually awesome. There are snacks in the offices, the co-workers are nice but it ends there.

Cons

Oh it's very hard to give a complete list of all the issues at the company and the level of toxicity but let me try: 1. They require you to be in the office 3 days a week but your contract is flexible working hours. A bit of a joke when it's enforce only for some people 2. The management level is so poor that you can't get any work done and they are mostly in your way. 3. The CTO and CPO needed to be demoted a long time ago they were mostly in the way of growing the business but even now I have no idea why they are around. At least one of them "decided" to leave. Read that how you like it. It creates a difficult environment to work in when they are still around and a feel they are a bit bitter about it 4. Women are hired only in Ops roles. We had only 1 woman in engineering!!! And we are a tech company. 5. The London office is a bit of a toxic bro culture which I can attribute to one the demoted CPO who runs it 6. They have no clear vision of what they want to achieve and change directions very often and can't stick with a way to build a real strategy 7. People who are made redundant are always to be blamed for issues and we never do any introspection on what we have done wrong 8. They asked us to write fake positive review but some are actually accurate. I thought that was pretty bad but it was because candidates were questioning the low number, you easily spot them. See that the negative part is always: "oh it's hard but I love it" or something else like that.
