Pros
Positive morning meetings - very motivational. Makes you feel all pumped up and ready to conquer the world. Well dressed people.
Cons
They lure you in and try to make you stay with promises of moving up to the "next level" and becoming an "owner" in a year but in reality there are people who have been there for more than 2 years still being in the same position and not being close to any whatsoever promotion. You'll get promoted to "leadership" quite quickly (within a few weeks), but your salary doesn't increase and you'll have more unpaid work that you'll have to do. In order to get promoted to ownership after being a "leader", you'll have to build a huge team of people and train them to build their own team of people - this is where it looks like a pyramid scheme. The issue is, because people are barely being paid well enough and have to do all sorts of other unpaid work with their own personal time like one on one meetings, book clubs, leader's meetings and what not, it makes the time barely worth the money they are making and people eventually leave, making the "leader" having to start all over again to hire and train new people. I wouldn't mind it if the salary increases with every promotion and our time is compensated financially, but that is not the case. Also, the bigger your team is, the lesser you'll get paid because you'll have to give up your hours to your trainees to be trained "in the field". You'll literally end up working more (secret shopping your trainees to see what they're lacking in, working extra hours with your trainee to show a good example, helping with inventory, etc) and getting paid less. Also, negativity is very shunned upon there. This reminds me of being in a cult. They have this"no-excuses" mentality and expect you to do whatever it takes to make sales/build a team/get to the event/etc even when you have family or health issues. You are not allowed to be human. You are expected to work like a robot and show results all the time regardless whatever the circumstances. If you skip any day giving whatever reason, they will say that you're "not serious" in the business and will be given a lecture. They also shun the 9-5 workers making them look like it's a bad thing to be working for a company. But the irony is that we are also working for this company - needing to meet all of their expectations at any cost and spending all of our entire time without even being compensated fairly. Plus, unless you've reached the ownership position, you have no whatsoever benefits - no medical benefits, no paid leave, nothing. And let me remind you that unless God is on your side and everything goes according to your favor, nobody here gets promoted to ownership and there are no benefits. I've been there long enough to realize that this company is a mere sales company and it is okay. What is not okay for me is that they try to paint this picture of your end goal and try to brainwash you that by giving 110% of your all, you will be successful, when in reality is even when you give your 110% and more, unfortunate events still happen. But you are not allowed to vent about it. You have to be a robot. There's no humanity in this company. You will also quickly learn that the "leaders" who have been there for about 2 years are very clique-y whereby they think they are better than you and will always criticize whatever you do. You'll have to be very strong mentally in taking criticism. They can and will make you feel stupid by asking a lot of questions that are rhetorical but they expect an answer. And the thing is, if they are so good, why are they still in the same position after 1.5-2 years and not moving anywhere? This company is a lot about image, for example, they require us to dress professionally (blazer+tie+leather shoes) but its very own "anchor leaders" are showing a bad image by still being in the same position after so long. Smart people who are recruited into this company will quickly see the irony there and just leave because they know it is a sham.
