Pros
I have nothing good to say about my experience at legalzoom. I hate being one of these people, but read my other reviews of employers if you don't believe I'm biased in being so negative.
Cons
Everything bad that you hear about corporations exist here. I experienced management who is full of people who say you can trust them then sabotage you, management that literally does not know what the products are (ask different managers about intellectual properties and see how man different answers you get), no clear direction on whether legalzoom is a business start up or document processing center, and you may as well try to get a job in Washington DC by all the politics you will have to play here. Management does not listen to subordinates, they make all the rules. So if you have a problem, don't tell anyone, you will start to feel ostracized and eventually you will be in a small room having to explain your behavior when you are only trying to help. I thought it was strange that all the entry level employees had more tenure than management. Because of this, there is a huge problem with morale and people leaving for better opportunities. They kept hinting that when my training class hit the floor, we would be some of the more tenured people on the floor, which I didn't think too much about, but now I see why. I noticed the red flags, seriously tried to play their game, but failed. I was employed at legalzoom from 8-12-13 to 9-16-13, and was let go by my contractor calling me on the phone at 8:30 at night saying they don't want me back with no explanation. She was more confused by that than I was and even asked me what I did wrong. I overheard her saying that I was not the only one who was let go in this fashion either, so I hope my other training buddies are doing well.
