Pros

Non-management coworkers are lovely people

Cons

Micromanaging - The micromanaging was insane. They acted like we were in primary school, not in a professional work environment. - We were made to record every second of our workday on the company chat. Funnily enough, family and close friends of leadership were exempt from this rule. - One time, the CEO called me twice on my personal phone to inform me that I had to notify the chat if I stepped away for longer than 5 minutes, because I hadn't responded to his chat for about 7 minutes. This was before my work hours had started - he didn't know what my work hours were. - At one point I was told that I could only take a lunch break during a specific time period. - Hours upon hours were wasted DAILY in "standup" calls that lasted between 1-2 hours each. Managers wanted to go over every single item because they didn't trust their own teams to finish tasks correctly. Poor company culture - I wasn't allowed my full bereavement leave when my grandmother died. She passed on Monday night, I was expected to participate in calls on Tuesday morning. - I "generously" got 3 half days because there was no one to "cover my morning shift" - I was salaried. - Company holidays were silly - we got Thanksgiving off, but we had to come into work the next day (Black Friday). - I worked there for nearly 2 years and undertook responsibilities across departments, often times volunteering to undertake new projects. For my troubles I received no bonus or pay raise, but instead was quietly switched over to hourly without notice (since my pay fell $450/yr short of the minimum for salaried employees in 2022). - To reiterate, 2 years of work and they wouldn't raise my pay by $450 ANNUALLY. Awful leadership - Leadership constantly ghosted on important calls, while sometimes waiting until 15-30 min after the start of the call to inform me that they would be unable to attend. - They are not invested in your professional development - they asked me what I wanted from my time there, and then did the exact opposite. - They constantly asked for work to be delivered, but then wouldn't review it and claim months later that "nothing was done". Unfortunately for them, I'm very diligent in documenting my work and conversations.

Pros

Job security, no micromanaging, remote job.

Cons

More work than one individual can handle. No support, it’s like you are on an island alone. No training documentation. Poor documentation. Poor management structure. Upper management always puts more work and requirements on workers without offering any form of assistance. Constant daily long hours of work to get projects done. Working 9-11 hours per day plus weekends to attempt to keep up with workload. Even with working longer hours the workload is still not manageable nor proficient. Management consistently complaining about the time it takes to complete tasks and will not listen to feedback of the team who performs the tasks. You will have to be the account executive and manage and maintain customer setups for preexisting customers and any customers you build and onboard, You will have to manage and maintain investor setups, and for any investor that you build and onboard. There is no team distinction between investor and client, the Pricing Analyst does it all. You will not get a raise, whatever you sign up for is what you will get. If you complain to management about your workload they will not assist you. They will gaslight and nitpick you in the most toxic and professional way possible.
