Alenia: a stable, not so demanding lifetime job. - Design Engineer Leonardo Employee Review

Pros

Alenia is the biggest aerospace company in Italy. It is well know worldwide in the sector and it has important collaborations with Boeing, Airbus, Sukohi and others. The company is quite stable and, up to know, it did not incur in any substantial crisis. Once you get inside, unless you are not so ambitious, you have found a lifetime job.

Cons

Not so much importance given to the professional growth. In some cases, it can take several years to get a promotion, even if you are brilliant. The work environment is not the best among those I worked in. The management is composed by old people, and tends to change too often.

Pros

There is not one pro I can think of.

Cons

The culture is extremely toxic and divisive. There is a clear preference shown toward Italian employees over U.S. employees, which creates an unfair and frustrating work environment. Communication is often unprofessional, with frequent yelling, finger-pointing, and disrespectful comments. Management has failed to establish clear roles and responsibilities, leading to constant confusion and conflict between employees. Engineering leadership appears heavily driven by favoritism and routinely treats employees with a lack of professionalism and respect.
