I taught piano with LIYH for over a year and had a genuinely positive experience. I had full control over my schedule, commute range, and teaching style, while the company handled all admin tasks like billing, advertising, and client communication. Their teacher app made everything seamless—scheduling, student info, and lesson tracking all in one place. Recitals were fully planned, and policies were clear, fair, and respectful of my time. I felt trusted and supported every step of the way.
Cons
The job does involve a lot of driving, since all lessons are in students’ homes, and there’s no mileage reimbursement or vehicle stipend. That said, this was clearly communicated up front and factored into my decision before accepting the job. It’s just something to be aware of if you’re considering the role.
