Pros
I was college access coach for two semesters at two different schools and the experience really depends on the location and your site directors. My summer semester was great and the students will be responsive to your energy so it taught me a lot about trying to be engaging, responsive, and patient.
Cons
Although it was a volunteer position, I did get a travel stipend for my first semester and was surprised to not receive one for my second semester. I feel like at least SOME amount for transportation is the least they could give college access coaches, especially those who teach twice a week.
