The atmosphere at Lewco is very friendly and welcoming; supervisors and senior engineers clearly want their interns to succeed and are willing to offer any support/flexibility necessary to do so. Their engineering design work is also very specialized and interesting, and the intricacy of the company's internal framework makes for an incredibly diverse experience as an intern. There were plenty of invaluable opportunities to meet and work with experienced and accomplished team members of different areas of expertise, all the while working to accomplish common goals. In summary, Lewco offers a transformative and eye-opening internship experience for young engineering students, so long as the intern remains genuinely curious and motivated throughout.

Nothing stands out as a particularly negative aspect of Lewco's internship program. The only thing worthy of note is that the scope of engineering tasks available to interns is typically very business-driven, and thus interns may see fluctuations in their workload and task difficulties. In my experience this can and should actually be viewed as another benefit, as any slower periods open the door for the intern to take initiative on tasks in new areas of interest.

Area manager loves to create problems even when not warranted. Nobody listens to the needs of the operator. Scheduling overtime is forced onto employee regardless of conflicts without care by the manager. Lowball pay and 0.5% chance of pay increase. Disorganized work list and missing info. Quantity over quality manufacturing.
