Pros
Excellent culture - very inclusive and flexible. Good benefits, unlimited vacation (subject to job responsibilities, of course). In Lexington, the pay is very good compared to the cost of living (not sure about other geographies).
Cons
Lexmark is shifting away from being a hardware company that happens to write some software to one that derives a lot of revenue from software. That changing focus can be difficult, particularly for people on the hardware side of the business. We've also acquired a number of software companies in short order, and we're still sorting out what products to promote and develop further. That creates lots of opportunities in software, but also lots of uncertainty. Raises have been low the last couple of years as we switch revenue streams and deal with the global economy.
