Pros

Some of the nicest people to work with; work/life balance. Senior managers are very talented and you can learn a lot while working with them. You also get to work on a number of interesting client matters.

Cons

Overall a great place to work but more structured/formalized processes may be needed for professional development of junior members.

Pros

It's a small team with experienced people who care a lot about what they do, Most employees have 10-30+ years of experience and are super willing to take time to teach and help out, if you have the opportunity to work here take it, especially entry level. You will not find another environment this supportive and willing to push you to be the best version of yourself while caring if you burn out. The team cares and listens about who you are and what you want to accomplish.

Cons

Small team means a lot of people have to wear multiple hats which for entry level means you learn a lot, but more senior people may be less pleased. It also means you need to be a self starter and take the reins to get what you need to get done, done. It has startup energy, very yes and... type of problem solving. I haven't seen these as cons but it depends on the type of worker you are!

Pros

Real exposure to managing local campaigns Exposure to all campaign elements including outreach, fundraising, writing press releases, volunteer coordinating, etc.

Cons

No pay - summer associates/interns essentially make up the entire "staff" of the Blue Lab (which is just a sister org. of LSG) under the direction of one paid manager... this is exploitation...
