There is always some level of risk in a startup.

Good culture in general with nice people. Sensible interview process that represents the actual working process. Freedom to speak your opinion and contribute ideas and suggestions within engineering team. Good level of autonomy with support from more senior team members when needed. Fair compensation and flexible hybrid working, no expectation of inflated working hours or being always available out of hours etc.

Typical annoyances of small tech company. Often pivoting between so-called "high priority" projects led by marketing to try to encourage growth, can result in half-baked ideas or short-term features. Lack of focused roadmap can be frustrating, but frankly no different to other similar small companies I've worked for.
