Pros

The people who do the work are incredible. Great personalities and attitude despite being overworked and undervalued.

Cons

Upper management and c-suite have zero coordination. There is no communication, no direction, no alignment and the environment is truly one of micromanagement and chaos. No one makes decisions and few projects are seen through completion before someone at the top changes their mind. The benefits are awful and the 401k is a joke. How are you an investment advisory firm who won’t even let your employees OPEN a 401k for 6 months?

Pros

There’s a lot of momentum across the firm, which creates real opportunity. You’re consistently exposed to new business, and it’s a great environment to develop your skills and build your own book if you’re willing to put in the work. The experience you get is hands-on and accelerates quickly, especially working with a range of client situations. If you’re motivated and want to grow, the platform is there.

Cons

The pace can be demanding. With the volume of new business coming in, it can be difficult to stay fully on top of everything at times. Capacity can feel stretched, and you need to be very organized and proactive to manage it effectively. It’s a great problem to have, but it does require a high level of discipline to keep up.
