Pros
Good exposure to Labor and Delivery units Opportunity to learn to work with people Very independent style of job- no management around to dictate what you do
Cons
Communication between management and techs is lacking. After only 3 unexcused absences (including mental breakdowns) you get an unpaid day of suspension Pay is barely enough to pay bills for a single person w/o kids. Schedules are not flexible at all. Once you pick a time to work that’s your shift unless someone calls off, then you come in early.
