Pros
free membership friendly co workers who make hell feel less hellish nice department head (She is the nicest person who's honestly doing the best she can. I just don't like how Lifetime mandates how their pools should be run.)
Cons
explaining pool rules to entitled members long hours, little to no breaks employee health not a priority micromanagement uptight, tense, really fast-paced demand too much commitment and flexibility for too little compensation chronically understaffed feedback is always negative and never positive *if you speak up about being overworked/concerned for your own health because you've literally been on nonstop rotation for 3+ hours without any time to eat, refill water, or apply sunscreen in scorching weather, the blame will be turned back on you for not being a team player because you refuse to buy into the cult-like "family" they expect you to devote your heart and soul to even though you were just looking for a PART TIME summer job. *if you stand idle for more than three minutes just to catch your breath, the manager will blame you for loafing around and send you on a heavy cleaning task to do under the little time you have before going back into rotation. Then, you'll be repremanded for being late to rotation after returning from making the bathroom look spotless. Come on, we're not superhuman. *contrastly, if you bust your derriere cleaning without needing to be asked to do so and diligently perform duties with 110% effort, management will not notice or they'll choose to ignore your earnest hard work.
