The constant tension and lack of support from certain leadership took a significant toll on my and many of my peers career growth. It was draining to navigate through each workday, knowing that there was little to no chance for personal or professional fulfillment; multiple times, I was promised pending promotions or raises, only for sudden "policy changes" or unfulfilled responsibilities from the rest of the team (who I was not in charge of) to suddenly arise, therefore setting me back on the "back burner" for a raise or promotion. Lots of finger pointing between leadership in regards to why this kept happening to me, with no clear answer for what I should do to solidify my career growth with the company.
