Pros

- free parking -most of the front line employees are good folks who work hard

Cons

- pay is low and intentionally kept at approx the 15 - 20th percentile of market value - in addition to low pay, schedule if often worse that it would be for the same position than at other institutions (i.e. clinical pharmacists work every 3-4 weekends, where other institutions the same position would work every 4-8 weekends). - hospital will not pay for certifications (such as Board Certification), but they will sometimes require employees to gain these certifications or face demotion. - Hiring internal candidates / transfers/ promotions: Will not follow their own policies or will find loopholes in order to not follow policy - The health system management cares much more about themselves than the front-line employee. Newsletters will have pictures of hospital administrators on every page, but rarely mention work of others. - Administration will do employee surveys to identify issues, which are never addressed. - HR does not stand behind employees when management violates policies. - Health-system will provided the cheapest health benefits possible (even self-funding their insurance and hiring an incompetent company to facilitate the health plan - which resulted in claims delayed by up to a year)

Pros

Work Life Balance & Hybrid or Virtual Work

Cons

Management doesn't seem to equally distribute workload, and some employees are not reviewed at all or the amount of work they have done whether it's a lot or little to none.
