Pros

Being a part of the LifeDojo team as a Research Associate has really helped me grow and develop as a professional. As soon as I joined LifeDojo, the executive team was able to identify my areas of strength and improvement to put me in the best role to succeed. I am always comfortable asking questions or giving suggestions, but also feel their trust in me to do the best job possible. The team is truly passionate about their mission to improve employee wellbeing, which means that they really practice what they preach when it comes to treating their own employees well.

Cons

This is a rapidly growing company, so priorities can change frequently. However, we have established a culture of constant and consistent communication so I feel always in the loop, even on projects that I'm not a part of!

Thanks for the feedback - we greatly appreciate it. You are right, communication has been the key to fast-adaptability without leaving folks out of the loop. Love how Slack makes it easier to be so transparent from top to bottom. As we grow quickly this year, we will work very hard to maintain this culture, so thanks for the reminder of its value.

Pros

LifeDojo is a well being startup that is on a great trajectory of growth. You wouldn't know it from the outside, but the company operates in an extremely lean fashion, with extremely smart and capable people in the leadership roles. Like most startups, there is a lot to do and not necessarily enough people to fill the roles. But that gives capable and enthusiastic individuals the amazing opportunity to really grow and learn in various roles with the company. If you like trying on different hats, and seeing which might suit you best, this is a company that offers that sort of opportunity. If you're a one hat, and only one hat, sorta person, this company might not be for you. The people at this company are truly smart and enthusiastic about changing the well being industry and are on an incredible trajectory to really make a dent.

Cons

Because the organization is so lean, there isn't truly an operational framework to follow. You have to be open to ambiguity in your role and your work flows. Communication for team collaboration can sometimes be difficult because with a small team, everyone has several different projects they are simultaneously working on and you have to initiate in order to get a meeting or time to talk. Online communication makes it a bit easier though, and everyone checks their Slack messages eventually.

Thank you for such thoughtful feedback - it means a lot to us. I think we are all thrilled to have been able to grow over the past several months as revenue and investment allows us to scale, but we remain appreciative of the hard work, passion and adaptability required of our earliest teammates. Great work!
