Cons

This company and jobn is an entire waste of time. The warehouse work they had me doing was extremely dangerous with very little protection from hazardous materials. I got hurt on the job cut my thumb open and I was asked to clean up the blood without getting it disinfected first. The managerial staff showed favoritism of employees over other employees. The company has a very bad reputation surrounding its warehouse employees. There were no sick days at all. If you were sick, you had to go into work there was no holiday pay whatsoever and no vacation time you show up to work do your job and go home if you were sick, you still had to go into work risking the lives of other employees around you. Their human resources department was a joke. As a former employee of the company, I was let go due to unforeseen circumstances, and they did not disclose why I was let go. I understand that companies want to be private, but letting someone go without knowing what they did wrong is a poor job on human resources part of the company. When I was working for them, I got sick and had a bad cold... it later turned out it was Covid and I was forced to use PTO for my recovery time. Which I later found out was highly illegal. I pleaded with human resources and management to give me back my time, but they could not manage that on their end. On top of having a poor managerial system with managers and high up executives coming and going in our one warehouse alone, the warehouse was poorly maintained and operated from inside. There were pallets of stacked medical equipment that had expired, and it was stuck behind other polls and other warehouse structure that prevented it from getting it out to maintain the usage of the product. Maybe this was just my warehouse and I'm not sure how other warehouses manage anything else, but ours was poorly run. It got to the point where so many people were quitting this job because of how poorly and executed every single plan was run. There was a task to be given, called cycle counting, cycle counting, meant basic inventory of every single individual product in the entire warehouse. This meant you had to open up a box remove every single item in that box and inventory every single individual product in the box. Sometimes there were hundreds of products in one box, that consisted of 30 to 40 boxes per pallet. The manager on duty assumed that I had learned this task and insisted that I continue doing "cycle counting "even though I had never learned the task on hand for any other manager or supervisor staff. A task is difficult and as hard to process as cycle counting, you would think that the managerial staff would have trained me upon my initial hiring process, nope. They did not train me whatsoever to do any sort of cycle counting before I entered the warehouse, so therefore, I did not learn anything regarding this process in order for me to do the cycle counts. Aside from having managers that did not care about their employees whatsoever. I was called into their office so many times as I tried my best to explain how I could not understand the process of cycle counting. This process was so frustrating for me as an employee who struggled with a learning disability. I had to provide documentation of a disability for HR to process so they can understand that I struggled to learn anything to do with cycle counting. The HR department later rejected my entire letter. Bottom line if you want to save yourself the headache from working at a terrible company that has no sick time, no vacation time, no benefits, and will treat you terribly, work for this company.
