Cons
A simple Google search of the CEO's name will tell you all you need to know about how this company is run. It's a personal piggy bank for the founding family. The executives like to paint a picture of a progressive health food brand that promotes women and people of color - while the majority of their non-white labor force is making minimum wage (which, in the suburbs is $8.25/hr). Management is not open to new ideas, and during my time with the company I always marveled at how successful we were despite this. Even so, there was little opportunity for advancement if you were not a family member, white man, or a Russian woman whose father had been employed by Lifeway since the 80s. I can't imagine how much worse it's gotten since their stock plummeted.
