Pros
Prior to the acquisition, Lima was one of the best companies I had ever worked for. The culture was genuinely employee-centric, and my Italian colleagues were exceptionally supportive, collaborative, and respectful. It felt like a place where people mattered, and I was proud to be part of the team. I could have and would have stayed there forever.
Cons
Unfortunately, the post-acquisition experience was the complete opposite. I will refrain from naming the acquiring company, but their integration approach was disorganized and poorly executed. The new org's structure is rigidly hierarchical, communication lacks transparency, and the culture shifted to one that, indeed, was toxic and disingenuous. Over a year later, key processes and alignment are still missing. Accepting my severance was the best decision I could have made. It truly feels like I escaped a circus run by evil clowns.
