Where do I start lol. With every corporate job you know what your getting... a big organization with a lot of politics, lots of middle management, tough to climb the corporate ladder. 1. There are a lot of "Rules" to follow at Lincoln you almost feel like a kid in grade school again. You absolutely must be in the office for 9 hours a day, 8 working hours and an hour for lunch. They make you take an hour for lunch. For example if you wanted to just work 8 hours and skip lunch or eat at your desk- not allowed. Have to be there 9 hours and they know because there is a clock in and out system. 2. Sales desk management has the "what have you done for me lately" attitude all the time. 3. They are very old school there, not much flexibility for anything. If you are hoping for flex hours or "work from home" on occasion.. think again that is not tolerated here. When in all reality anyone can because your on the phone and your computer for 9 hours. 4. There are also activity requirements for every internal sales person. You must have at least 60 phone calls per day and are put on a warning if you do not meet this requirement. The goal of their model is work you hard for little bonus pay, to the point where you get burned out after a year, year and half. Turnover rate is insane, they keep their entry level desk stocked always with young kids to fill the internal wholesaler openings. 5. The monthly bonus is laughable. Very hard to make good money at this organization because they "do not believe in paying internal sales". Finally there is a TON OF FAVORITISM within the organization. Certain people probably about 5% get favorable treatment and move very quickly into other positions.
