      Fantastic team Leaners are amazing

      The structure of the college is unorganised and inconsistent. There are too many managers who contradict each other, don’t listen and dictate rather than lead. Teaching and support staff are dropped in and left to their own devices. Important documents aren’t shared with staff and there is little to no training. Management presume you know everything and the majority are unsupportive. Progression is non existent and staff turn over is huge. Moral is flat and pay is terrible. There are no specialist interventions and classes are run as they would be in mainstream. Terrible, regrettable and disappointing. The learners deserve better.

      Some amazing dedicated staff. Stay long enough you can progress from a cleaner/carer to a manager. Incredible learners. Lovely setting. Some kind managers.

      Cons

      Staff stretched too thinly. Far too much admin for lecturers, using ridiculously detailed session plans and schemes of work as standard. Disabilities gradually becoming more severe and staff expected to differentiate and support with no training. IT department overwhelmed and unable to manage the volume of issues. Money spent on pointless tech when staff need laptops. Accessibility for wheelchair users not great which is madness. Not all courses are valued equally. Teaching staff are expected to book holidays as you would any other job so don't work here if you have a child and need the school holidays off, you will not have enough. Pointless training and CPD.
