Pros

"Flex pool" employees are able to get any time off that they request.

Cons

No raises or benefits, no matter how long or hard you work. No HR, or lack of competent resources. High expectations to work hard/overtime without compensation. The company has you work on vacation, and after hours unbilled. Poor management. Responsibilities are pawned off of management/peers and are given to bottom level employees, while those peers play World of Warcraft all day or watch Youtube. "Morale is at 0." No classes or training for furthering your skill set or role within the company. No feedback or criticism on work performance (they'll rate you, but neither tell you your rating, or give feedback about what you could improve). Peers that lie, backstab, and blackmail you into getting what they want. Employees that don't like going above and beyond or "the extra mile" due to lack of company loyalty - directly related to how they're treated. Poor billing practices - often employees are asked to bill on "projects" just to fill a billing slot, even if they are not working on that "project." Undisciplined peers (getting away with whatever they want because they make more money), causes even further company disloyalty. Promotions are based upon favoritism, not skill set or seniority. Often employees are "promoted" out of convenience without pay increases or actual title, just to fill a billing position. - Putting more responsibility on employees with little to no experience without compensation. The lack of morale is caused from being treated like disposable, worthless billing positions. The company often hires employees with no experience and expects them to perform jobs way out of their skill set with no pay increase, or training. There are no company initiatives to improve morale, improving work environments or training/classes. Comment boxes are not honored, as well as written requests to help improve morale. Unless you've written about ways the company can make or save more money, these requests can take many, many months to implemented, if at all. Concerns brought up to management are almost always blown off rather than addressed - further lowering morale. Also, there are no opportunities for advancement.

Pros

Supportive Leadership: The management team is approachable and genuinely invested in employee success, providing guidance and mentorship to help you reach your full potential. Career Development: There are numerous opportunities for professional growth, including training programs, workshops, and access to industry conferences, ensuring you continually advance your skills. If your current position is not working out for you there may be opportunities to join a different team and expand your skill set. Work-Life Balance: Flexible scheduling options and remote work opportunities allow for a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal life. Recognition and Rewards: Employees are regularly acknowledged for their hard work and achievements, both through formal recognition programs and informal appreciation. Even if it is just a call out on a team meeting, it shows your hard work is not going unnoticed.

Cons

Rapid Changes: The company's dynamic nature means frequent shifts in priorities or objectives, which may be challenging for those who prefer stability. Resource Constraints: Occasionally, there might be limited resources which can impact the ability to execute projects efficiently. Communication Gaps: In a large organization, there can be occasional breakdowns in communication between departments, leading to misunderstandings or delays. Onboarding Process: The initial onboarding process might benefit from more structure or support to help new employees acclimate quickly.

Pros

It has been very cool seeing the company evolve with the new AI and LLM Technologies. Going from a complex language services company to an AI-first complete content and AI Data Services company has opened many new doors. Lionbridge also focuses on promoting internal candidates first, giving us all the chance to strive for openings internally to grow our careers. I've been promoted multiple times in my 5+ years. We're surrounded by very intelligent and good people, and it's interesting solving new-world problems together as a global team. We're constantly working with team members and customers from all over the world, and get the chance to learn about the various personal and business cultures of so many.

Cons

No real Cons. It's not an easy industry to be in these days with things changing at this rapid a pace, but we keep up well. Never a dull moment, and never a new challenge around each corner, but a great team to always work it out with.
