Pros

Laura , the owner, has worked tirelessly most of her life to build this company. With that being said, she values, loyalty, respect, and long term employment. She will do whatever she can to help navigate any situation in life so that her employee stays for the long run. She will accommodate and maneuver anything so that her providers are happy. She is easy to contact as well as to talk to, which makes it easier in what could be an uncomfortable situation. She is generous, throwing lovely end of the year parties and holiday parties for her employees, which is nice to feel appreciated. There are plenty of offices and administrative positions, so one doesn’t need to feel “ stuck” in a provider role or location they are not happy with, which is nice to have options. The CF training is unmatched. Maureen is a great supervisor and offers extensive cf training to the new grads. I had to leave due to personal reasons within my home but I would have stayed even longer.

Cons

None that I can think of.

Pros

I guess flexibility. There weren’t many complaints when I changed my hours which was frequently as a parent to accommodate my kids.

Cons

The administrative staff is rude and bully like. They will hound you at all hours of the day/ week ( holidays, vacations, sick days, days off, etc) for paperwork. The scheduling team will avoid handling anything for you at all costs, which is comical because scheduling is their JOB. They are also not pleasant people to deal with. You will work on holidays and school breaks ( insurance and early intervention). The pay is low and you will not get a raise, unless you ask for it, and they make it super uncomfortable. You will spend hours doing paperwork at home because they will pack your schedule out with kids. You will not get paid for meetings. We never got the healthcare provider bonus from the government , that the employer was to distribute to us over the past couple year. Which leads me to believe the company kept the funds for themselves, given that companies were given the money by the government to distribute to qualifying employees. When asked about it, the employer played dumb for a bit and then stated I didn’t meet the qualifications. But I did so. Very icky.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m sorry to hear you left with such negative feelings. I wish you would have communicated them to me for resolution or explanation than taking to a review. As an organization dedicated to serving children and families, we value every member of our team and strive to foster a respectful, supportive work environment. We’re proud to offer flexibility to accommodate staff needs, especially for working parents, and we’re glad that aspect of your time here was positive. However, I have no employee matching the working mom, asked for flexibility, asked about healthcare bonus at any office and specifically Blue Point. I would like to clarify several points: • Communication: While we understand that work-life balance is important, we must also meet state and insurance regulations that often require timely paperwork and communication. We do our best to balance those needs while respecting personal time. We would only reach out if an employee did not uphold industry standards and expectations for documentation. If we reached out urgently for documentation, it is because an employee did not submit as required. • Scheduling and Administrative Team: Our administrative and scheduling teams work hard to manage complex logistics for multiple providers and families. If your experience was not a positive one, we regret that and are actively working on training and feedback systems to better support both staff and families. • Pay and Bonuses: Compensation is reviewed yearly and we do offer raises and bonuses based on performance, responsibilities, and funding availability. Regarding the healthcare provider bonus, we strictly followed state-issued eligibility criteria and reporting requirements. Not all staff qualified under those guidelines, and decisions were not made arbitrarily. Our accounting firm followed strict guidelines and all eligible employees received all bonus money. We’re always striving to improve and truly value constructive feedback. If there are any unresolved concerns or if you’d like to share more directly, we welcome a confidential conversation. My door is always open. As the owner, I would have loved a conversation as all employees are given my cell phone at onboarding. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and continued success in your career. — Laura
