Pros
Liv Communities is a company that truly LIVS its values, which is not something you find in a lot of companies unfortunately. I started at Liv in student housing and when the community was sold, I wanted to stay but was unable to relocate at the time (and they wanted to keep me!). I stayed in property management but went to a different company, but when Liv had another position open up my old property manager reached out to me and just like that I was back in the family. LUV it here. Everyone is willing to help you as much as possible.... there isn't a "that's not my job" mentality. We truly are one team... even with those that you don't work with directly. They are truly people focused! During the thick of Covid Liv GAVE money to residents to help them keep their apartments while people lost work... which is insanely generous. The programing here is meant to help team members and residents Liv fuller lives... and it shows! Fun company with great values, benefits, programing, support, and LUV. 10/10 recommend. And they are truly all about promoting from within so there's opportunities for growth. The D&I focus is so genuine and consistent here too!! Which is very important to me as a Black woman.
Cons
The only con isn't really a con. There are so few properties in Michigan then there are in Arizona, and the ones in Michigan are so far spread apart that we don't get to build community with one another like the AZ properties do. More of just something that I'd like to see change, but I also know that they invest in markets that they believe will be profitable... so it's nothing personal lol.
