Pros

Very entrepreneurial environment, which fosters great customer service and opportunity for meaningful individual contribution. Company is willing to invest in employees, and there is huge potential for personal growth and reward based on performance. Great resources and talent within the company.

Cons

Can be inconsistency between teams, in procedures, etc. and often not a clear sense of roles and direction. Expectations are very high and the environment can sometimes feel a bit chaotic. At the AE level, you have to be available 24/7 almost without exception. The successful Lockton employee has to be able to adapt and thrive in this environment, and to be a creative and often autonomous problem solver, so this can either be a pro or a con depending on the individual. It's important to understand the culture of Lockton as it's not for everyone. Lockton does a great job of explaining and vetting this up front but it is generally a love it or hate it environment, which ultimately makes for very cohesive, high performance teams when everyone is in sync with the culture.

Pros

A true “team effort” environment. I think it really depends on who your team lead is and the dynamic of the group you work with. You will get a ton of experience fine tuning skills as they provide constant trainings and resources to learn. Decent pay when compared to competitor companies and great 401k plan. Plenty of company and marketing events. Hybrid work is great. Again to preface, who you work with can make or break the atmosphere, but everyone I’ve met has been extremely nice and willing to help. Opportunities to grow within the company.

Cons

Health benefits could be better. Company is really pushing new business and there can be a lot of work and last minute fires to put out that can feel daunting. There have been quite a few times I’ve worked late into the night to get things wrapped up. You need to self organize or things can easily fall through the cracks very quickly. A lot of meetings that can take up a majority of your day - leaving less time to get actual work done.
