Pros

Pay is above average for role, always on time, offered plenty of hours, I see Area Manager every month in person and he is really helpful and approachable, lots of training opportunities, regular newsletter so we see what is happening and feel part of bigger team, uniform is great, I work in Boots and team there treat us really good too, I can see lots of managers have progressed through so I know there is good promotion chances too and they give team chance to develop and grow. Lots of recognition internally of hero awards, it is nice to see.

Cons

Pay is good, but there is higher out there. Would be better if could book hols online, but luckily my Area Manager is really responsive and helpful so not a problem. Would like to see more team days

Just the pay is on time

Cons

Really low wage, all the Senior management has left. Don’t approve holiday unless the store manager approves it. Treat you like a number and don’t care about people health

Pros

- Flexible holidays (can take more than you accrue with the understanding you work the allowance back) - Understanding of family commitments - Supportive (healthcare appointments, sickness)

Cons

- Poor PPE provision (No body armour provided even when knife/needle incidents have been reported) - Near zero career progression - Low pay rate (comparable with other industry employers locally) - Low standards of training, dangerous for new officers
