Coworkers and customers(most times) good to work with. Diverse group of people. Company owns, develops, sells, implements and supports Utilities and Financial software for local governments. That helps with customer relations but is also a con...
Cons
CEO only cares about the bottom line, He ignores the people aspect of his business. Prior to me leaving management was handing out more responsibility to people that were already overworked. They received fancy new titles with no pay increase. People were already working 10-12 hrs a day with no overtime pay. Honestly management was more of a dictatorship. They help your job over your head while telling the CEO they weren't to blame for the company failing. All platforms are broken in one way or another and ALL levels of management were ok with giving customers broken software they paid for. Ideas for innovation and change were ignored or stole for managements own gain. Support and development staff were grossly understaffed. There was never more than 2 people to support any given platform with 100+ customer. Ever changing management that promises things will get better but great employees get let go when it doesn't happen. They promise more help in departments, hire people, then fire long term employees. Very stressful environment. I don' think the company will last another 5-10 years. Turnover rate is crazy. There have been more people let go or quit that have ever worked there.
