Pros

The team here is amazing. People genuinely care about my growth and success.

Cons

Honestly, not much to say. When you do a good job, it's recognized and rewarded.

Pros

There isn't a single pro

Cons

1. They hire people saying it's a full-time role. But everyone working here is working on contract. So basically you'll be a FREELANCER and you can't use the experience for next job applications. 2. They don't have a single tester to test the product after development phase. So they expect developers to build as well as test within 1 or 2 weeks of time frame. 3. The CEO and managers do not have 1% knowledge of how development life cycle works, so even if you explain some technical problems, you'll get the response "I don't have to listen to it. Complete this without fail within 1 or 2 hours" 4. They treat the employees as machines. Even if your family member is in hospital and you ask for leave, you'll get the response "if you complete your given task within given time, then you can take leave." You'll feel the need to prove yourself everyday since your small achievements don't matter until the product is making money. So it goes without saying that the work-life balance is not even 0, it's in negative. 5. They say they grant 1 leave per month, but if you do take leave, the so called "finance department" deducts money some months. And the leave does not get carried forward to next month. :) 6. They keep terminating people over small mistakes and starts rehiring. And the loop goes on. 7. After leaving/being terminated you'll get a scanned paper in the name of Relieving Letter, which doesn't have company stamp, so the next employers won't even consider it. 8. They keep changing the marketing name. In the span of 2 months, they changed the name twice. First it was Filed(you'll get the reviews on glassdoor itself, where you'll see the CEO tried to change the reviews and the glassdoor shows an warning about the company), and now it's Lolly. P.S.- It'a well planned scam and if you stay in the company for more than 1 year your whole career will be over.

Lolly Co Response
3y
This is very disappointing to read, and we are sorry that you feel negatively about your experience with Lolly. To cover your points: 1. All of our team members have the same contract of employment, for those within the UK this means they are employed under UK law. Those in other countries (90% of our fully remote team) they have the same contract, working rights, and rights. As a fully remote employer we do not discriminate between employees in differing locations. 2. This is true, in Dec 22' we did not have a QA tester 3. The CEO is a developer himself, so a little difficult to understand the non-technical viewpoint. 4. We value family, and put the personal wellbeing of our team first. For example, during the first few months of the Ukrainian war all of our team based there were fully paid without any expectation of any work to be undertaken. 5. We have an unlimited holiday policy, and have had so since the first day of the companies formation. 6. Some of our team members have worked with our managing director for 8 years. If that doesn't show a sign of confidence nothing will. But of course, some people don't work out. Your personal length of employment was under 12 months, again we're sorry that we weren't the best match. We're working on making sure we get hiring right from day 1. 7. We don't issue any such document, and whatever documentation a leaver asks for we are happy to provide. 8. We've been known as Lolly since our company started and have never heard of a company called 'Filed'.

Pros

Product has potential, Wide Market, Flexible Hours

Cons

Application offers a base salary, but after you hired you’re told they cant afford your base. Feel expendable Hires for a 2 week trial period.
