Pros

The company culture is genuinely welcoming, with a team of friendly colleagues. The flexibility of remote work is a definite plus, making it a good fit for those who value a familial atmosphere and can navigate the quirks of a family business structure.

Cons

Working at Longbow offers a unique glimpse into the intricacies of a small to medium-sized family-run business. The executive positions are filled by the founder's family members, which can sometimes complicate decision-making and role clarity. The company faces typical growth pains such as a lack of well-defined processes and a somewhat disjointed product roadmap. Career development opportunities are limited, which might be a consideration for those looking to advance.

Pros

The technical challenges were interesting, especially during high-pressure go-live periods Opportunity to work hands-on with WMS and trace diagnostics under tight timelines

Cons

-Compensation offer was lowered at the last minute from what was initially discussed -Leadership lacked clarity and transparency about long-term role expectations. -Culture favors insiders — difficult for new hires to gain traction without a sponsor -Abrupt decisions made without performance context -Role expectations shifted after joining, with minimal communication or support -Team structure lacked clear onboarding, making it difficult to integrate quickly -Company over-relies on a handful of internal voices, leaving others without a real seat at the table -Strategic planning seemed reactive, not proactive — especially during client escalations. -Decisions impacting employment were made without transparency or feedback loops
