Pros

- People! I'd say Loom generally has a good number of well-intended, smart people that are great to work with - Decent comp + benefits - Plenty of opportunities to step up + stretch yourself - Users love the product

Cons

Most problems at Loom can be attributed to an inexperienced exec/leadership team: - There's a lot of top down decision making - why hire good people if you're not going to listen to them or let them have the autonomy? Feels like decisions are made behind closed doors and then people are told to just blindly execute on them. Generally a result of poor communication / lack of proper management skills - No clear strategy - just metrics to go after. Metrics should be an output of a good strategy, but because the strategy lacks clarity or direction - teams + orgs are all over the place and constantly experiencing whiplash. Cross-functional alignment sometimes feels impossible - Incredibly reactive - there's a lot of anxiety at Loom, especially at the leadership level. While I don't blame them (they're human), their inability to manage it properly results in it trickling down to employees, leading to chaos, confusion, and burnout Very dependent on your team or role, but work-life balance can be tricky and some teams are stretched very thin.

Pros

Good advancement at first, recognition of my contributions to the team.

Cons

Promoted incredibly junior employees for management just to fill seats. They were abysmal and led to countless people leaving.
