Pros

Absolutely nothing.. Seriously, the place is a complete void of anything good.

Cons

Racist, sexist, bigoted management who said "I will never have one of them working here". In response to the lack of ethnic diversity in the work force. "them" being the polite word he used in front of me. I witnessed sexual harassment, suffered ageist remarks daily. And was even underpaid as a result of this, me and one other being paid 0 (zero) shift allowance for my entire 10 years with the company.. I have since found out that management now pay shift allowance correctly, stating that it wouldn't be fair to not pay one person shift allowance. Management (if you can call it that) used to sell counterfeit clothing and dvds etc from the company van when they were on shift... After being discovered doing this, they somehow still managed to progress up in the company ranks, jobs for the boys. Toilets used to flood into the work area regularly. The floors and walls have holes in, staff had to provide their own work equipment, decent boots, scanners I'd holder etc. I was personally warned by the GMB shop steward to "be careful raising your concerns about racism in the company, because the gaffa will find a way to get rid of you". 2 years later I was sacked while on permanent sick leave after the death of my daughter, I was also refused a phased return to work at this time. Shift rotations are illegal, having worked various shifts in short spaces of time eg. In one week I worked night-shift, followed by back shift, and then morning shifts and night shift at the weekend again, followed by morning shifts the week after. . For years this happened, with all complaints be ignored. And being told by management "if you don't like it, you can try to find someone else who will pay you so well". The wages were average at best. Constantly over worked and understaffed, expected at times to work 60hour weeks. Not allowed to take breaks..ever. Was told off by management for sitting to eat my dinner once. Mildew and mold grows from the walls near where you are forced to eat and work simultaneously. When it rained heavily water leaked from the lightswitch, at one point exploding very close to a staff members face. No ventilation and dust 2-3cm deep in places. I was crushed by shelving that collapsed on me and taken to hospital, only to be told they'd wait for me in the A&E so they could take me back to work to finish my shift! I was off sick for nearly 2 weeks with server back pain after this incident.. I was also again told by the union rep that I would be sacked if I pushed for a claim in this case. I found confidential information (age, sex, height, weight, address, telephone, next of kin, photo I'd etc) of 30-40 staff members blowing around outside of the building one day, because someone didn't dispose of the documents properly and just put them in the bin outside. I could go on and on, about how we broke security procedures every day, sometimes not even locking vans with £20+ million on board that's right the door would sometimes just swing open while driving down the motorway.. , or faking signatures on a weekly basis for audits, or the physical and verbal abuse endured every shift...but what's the point. I just hope that this review can prevent at least one person from suffering the way I had to. And to be clear. I only rated 1 star for each section, because I couldn't select a lower value.

Pros

Only pros to the job were learning how ATMs worked and how banks got their money, its interesting work, and a good foot in the door for other careers security and/or law enforcement.

Cons

There are more cons than pros, during my time in loomis milwaukee (branch #5920) everyone in management and leadership seems to get away with unprofessional behavior, it seems as if all they care about is whether or not routes are being finished or if your stealing and they want to catch you. On multiple occasions I have told my former manager at loomis who still is employed there that I had problems with some of the leads and staff, she "addressed" it by throwing my name out and the gave them more ammo to keep behaving such ways, it happened with another former employee as well, let me not get started on the workplace relationships, the Milwaukee branch is called the brothel branch for a reason by their sister branches. When I first started there was a lead fired for having inappropriate relations with the tellers, then the new manager for the CMS vault department that got hired was my former lead from the CIT/AST department, no vault experience, only because he worked alot of hours and had some close relationship with the manager, he also had a history with having relations with the CMS employees and talking about it to everyone in the facility, thus leading to the women quitting their jobs. Hes no longer the CMS manager now but he became the operations manager now, he was also talked to by the branch manager about a picture that was circulating through the vault of his body parts and the branch manager still hired him to be the cms manager knowing it. There is no point in even going to HR with this company as well, they wont do much, they'll "address" things but the problems keep going on. Nobody deserves to be treated the way new hires get treated without knowing whats going to happen once they've been there for a couple of months. Im glad I quit this company because corporate only seems to care about how many contracts they can acquire and which branches make the most money.
