Pros
Decent pay. Plenty of extra work if you want it on your off days. Company pays for all of your training to maintain security licenses and DOT requirements.
Cons
No set schedule. In to work anywhere from 4-6am and finished with route when you get it done. Usually takes 8-10 hours to complete the route alone without factoring in prep time or processing when route is complete. Any mistakes made during route is expected to be corrected at employee's expense of time. Common mistakes made can add anywhere from 30 mins to 2-3 hours onto your day. Management will also call in randomly to assign extra tasks regardless of the route's current location. For the 4 years I worked there I NEVER had a 40 hour week. It will be around 50 consistently after your fully trained and on your own. Over time does not exist here either. Pay is $150 a day for the AST and around $120 for driver. Period. Work a 20-hour shift? Don't go looking for over time when your paycheck is the same. This has been fought by employees many times and is in some way legal, so don't bother.
