Pros
Flexible WFH and remote working arrangements.
Cons
Extremely lean team, so be ready to double hat and OT. Never-ending changes and restructuring within the department, causing the remaining team members to constantly adapt and take on even more work. Initial JD did not match what I ended up doing, with manager citing "organisational restructuring" as the reason. Performance bonus is based on if you were taking initiative or "Going Above and Beyond" for the company, but because the team is so lean and is always restructuring, it is almost impossible to have enough time on hand to "go above and beyond" and initiate new ideas, and there is also rarely any time/opportunity to go for any sort of training. A lot of fruitful brainstorming sessions with great ideas coming out, but always no time to execute given the forever super tight timeline given - ended up always rushing things out with subpar quality. Always had to chase other departments to keep to the timeline, otherwise manager would push the fault to me when work isn't submitted on time. Why am I here to keep other departments in check when I'm not even their manager?
