Pros

If you can negotiate a good salary then it can be well paid Stock options which pay out if you stay with the business Bonus is good Great tuition program

Cons

There are always extra responsibilities outwith your own role due to poor hiring, fragmented store teams, lack of hours or cuts to payroll. Long hours - they pay you for 40 hours but expect you to work 55 hours. Run the play - certainly within the Boston district there was no flexibility to retail. Top stock could be empty and stores full but District teams seem to not want that. Promotions are whether your face fits rather than experience, attitude and results. Store Managers should be non existent as the District team bypass them anyway. Hire & fire mentality. There is no development or focus on developing people. Poor onboarding and training in general. You will need to be self led - the company initiatives such as Lowes University are used as metrics rather than something that can add value - for example the district team focus on % active rather than what is going into it and whether the program adds value. If you are experienced and a good operator then this company will frustrate the life out of you. Wider regional team are so disconnected from store teams but roll into town and want the red carpet treatment.

Pros

Remote, great starting pay for entry level remote. Team environment was the best part of the experience.

Cons

Very limited to no advancement opportunities with pay increases that don't even match cost of living increases. No HR support and the culture reflects that... not a company that has any flexibility in the way employees are handled when they make a mistake it stacks and is not removes for a year. If you have three mistakes even if they are in totally different areas they will terminate even tenured employees with otherwise perfect records. Not a way to keep good employees.
