Pros

I work with a great team, more like a family! They are the reason I stay.

Cons

The overall corporate culture has changed since the hospital was absorbed by Tufts Medicine. Everyone receives the same percentage salary increase (when we get one), regardless of length of employment, length of experience, or job performance. It's frustrating to be dedicated, going above and beyond the call of duty, and get the same pay increase as other folks who are frequently on their cell phones, doing homework, shopping online, etc. instead of rounding on their patients hourly. This past year (2025), we didn't get a pay increase (we were told "cash flow problems", "money's really tight") but rumor is that we might get one some time this Spring. But, the organization DID have plenty of money to put into a failed staff scheduling app and other failed IT "improvements". We used to have a corporate motto of "Patients First in everything we do", but I don't know if we even have a motto anymore. Morale is the worst I've seen in almost 20 years. We have to allow "24 business hours" for a response from HR on any matters, upper management has lost touch with employees (which is a switch from just a few years ago when our previous CEO Jody White and CNO Amy Hoey would walk around the hospital frequently and knew employees on a first-name basis). The CEO is at Tufts-Boston, the CNO is visible pretty much for photo ops only. I never would have come to work here if it was like this "back in the day".
