      Plenty of over time opportunities

      Cons

      CEO sent out an email basically saying to stop asking for raises, and that they are working on it but won’t give a timeline for when pay will be increased. Costs of living in Key West is too high for what the hospital pays it’s staff.

      The staff are all very friendly and supportive.

      Cons

      It is a small hospital, with alot of responsibilities that fall back on the RN.

      Pros

      Key West has a diverse an amazing patient population. The long time staff (there are few left) are more like family than co-workers.

      Cons

      This is a challenging time for Healthcare in general. The challenges with retaining experienced staff is an issue (and a scary one) that I believe is not exclusive to Lower Keys. Key West additionally has a unique set of challenges related to the cost of living being so high.
