Pros

Cool office Catered lunch in office People on top of their things Good benefits

Cons

- the “teamwork over ego” culture only applies to non-leadership roles. It seems like this is a way for leadership to keep underlings stay in their track, be obedient, and be scapegoats when convenient. Lots of ego are in play among leaderships. - the company hired a few new executives while the old CEO stepped down, this caused a huge culture shift. Toxic, hostile and aggressive behavior is now very much tolerated. Caring about employees and work life balance is 100% just lip service. - almost every team overworks. Many people log on, respond and send work messages in late evenings and on weekends. It doesn’t feel realistic to get all the work done in 40-50 hours a week, at all. Many people work the whole weekends to meet unreasonable deadlines. - lack of diversity. No matter how much lucid tries to advertise their diversity initiative, it’s so obviously lacking. For one, lucid only hires people with high GPA - that already limits the types of potential talents.

Pros

- Very strong mentorship program - Very nice people - Some VERY good engineers, PMs, and designers

Cons

- Pay isn't competitive outside of Utah (but hey, at least we're hiring) - Like most other companies at our size, your success and satisfaction largely depend on the team you're on - Sales and product/eng could probably be better aligned to inform product decisions - Like most other SAAS companies, we're investing A LOT into AI. This could bite us in the future (I personally think we're in a bubble, and the consequences of over-investing will be very painful once it bursts)
