Pros

I recently attended Lucid's company kickoff event, and I could not be more excited about this coming year. They are an amazing and supportive employer that truly values their employees. Although last year was a difficult year in tech generally, Lucid did not have a layoff. Everyone is friendly and welcoming (part of their "teamwork over ego" company value), and they make sure to create an environment that encourages collaboration, growth, and innovation. My experience is that the salaries are competitive and reasonable, the benefits package is comprehensive with plenty of options for everyone (including free mental health sessions with licensed therapists, fertility benefit, etc.), and all new hires get equity plus are eligible to be part of a refresh grant program. I've been impressed by the DEI initiatives because make real impact and are not just splashy words. The work itself is also quite fulfilling. My projects are varied in scope and complexity, challenging me to come up with creative solutions to difficult problems. No matter what role you play or how long you've been here, there's always room for growth and progression. Leadership at Lucid is incredibly passionate about maintaining a culture of ownership where everyone feels empowered to bring their best work. The atmosphere of mutual respect has allowed me to feel safe while pushing boundaries in order to achieve goals faster than ever before. Lucid is a place where I've been able to learn from my peers, develop myself professionally and personally on a daily basis, be productive with meaningful work. Highly recommend.

Cons

None, really. Empowering employees and staying financially responsible - Lucid has done both, creating the perfect balance for success.

Pros

- Very strong mentorship program - Very nice people - Some VERY good engineers, PMs, and designers

Cons

- Pay isn't competitive outside of Utah (but hey, at least we're hiring) - Like most other companies at our size, your success and satisfaction largely depend on the team you're on - Sales and product/eng could probably be better aligned to inform product decisions - Like most other SAAS companies, we're investing A LOT into AI. This could bite us in the future (I personally think we're in a bubble, and the consequences of over-investing will be very painful once it bursts)
