Pros

You'll work with hard working, nice, incredibly talented millennials. Free lunches everyday and company outings once in a while.

Cons

Leadership in the company is dysfunctional. Priorities always changing or shifting on a weekly basis. Everyone is expected to hustle and work grinding hours in a punishing environment. High turnover. More than a third of the employees left recently. Terrible company culture, the tone that's perpetuated is hostile, condescending, victim-blaming. Work life shouldn’t have to be like this!

Pros

We are a smaller team so anything you want to help with or learn, you can. My opinion feels heard by management and we always know what's coming next in terms of products, releases, etc. Everyone who works here is helpful and hardworking, and we have monthly team outings in the LA area (and sometimes visiting folks come in too). Fully remote environment without tons of zoom calls, I felt connected to the team even while joining remote.

Cons

Not as many perks as larger companies but this is expected with a smaller company, basic benefits are included which is great.

Pros

Free lunch, some cool people

Cons

Positive reviews are FAKE (no one from York worked here lol). Company intimidates us into writing positive reviews because turnover is so high. CEO has his favorites. He takes them to lunch, gives them tons of PTO but the rest of us are overworked, underpaid, pressured to not take time off, etc. Work-life balance sucks, we are expected to work extra hours and weekends a lot. For a company that pretends to want to help people financially they don’t even pay the employees fair. Hard work doesn’t pay off. They will say theres opportunities for growth but you will never be moved up they will just add more to your plate that they don’t wanna do then not give you a raise, I've seen it happen over and over. Theres zero job security. Whole teams are fired randomly. CTO is rude, at one point his whole team quit on him on the same day. HR is too small and has tyrannical condescending lawyers who don’t care, they even hired someone to lay people off then fired her the next week too. Seems like theres discrimination too, have been here a while and have only ever seen men get raises and promotions, so all the women end up quitting. We are not in the office during Corona but the only good thing about being there is the free lunch. Higher-ups constantly leave dishes in the sinks so the kitchen smells bad. 1/10 AVOID
