Pros

Small company means you get great exposure and opportunity to tackle some very interesting technical work. You also have a lot of freedom in deciding the kind of things you want to work on and have opportunity to contribute your own ideas to the company. The company culture is top notch. Everyone is really friendly and are always willing to help or collaborate.

Cons

Because of the constant growth the office layout changes every once in a while and even though we just moved to a new office in the last year we're going to be moving to a new location soon again.

Pros

The whole place is growth-oriented! If you want to learn something, or try something new, or get something under your belt, then you can. I have learned a ton of valuable, career-changing skills because I've been given the opportunity here. Everyone is truly so friendly and willing to own their relationships with each other – particularly important when we're all working from home and you can't rely on office chit chat to stay engaged with your coworkers. It's a company culture that didn't happen by accident. Compensation is competitive and very transparent. Education budget is amazing for pursuing skills that help everyone level up. Product is interesting and in an emerging space with lots of customer appetite.

Cons

Things move really fast, and it's only in the last year or so that the company vision and strategy has been set out. You have to be okay taking everything with a grain of salt because there's a lot of internal transparency, so not everything that's shared or discussed is set in stone. Engineering work can sometimes languish due to capacity constraints, which is nothing new to a maturing company but can be frustrating. Both a pro and a con but hiring for new positions or to backfill can take a long time because we want to hire the right people, not just anyone that can fill a seat, so sometimes things have to sit on the shelf for a while.
