Pros
At the time they paid above average salary probably the ONLY perk working for them
Cons
Aggressive leadership and not receptive to challenge.
Long hours that you're not paid for. Leaving the house at 5am some days and not allowed to leave site until 4.30 which could mean 3 hour journey home. Managers phoning you at 4.20pm to 'see how your day went' in reality just making sure you are still on site.
Contracts managers take absolutely no responsibility for H&S issues, no help or support with their employees or sites whatsoever. If the issue is anything related to H&S they won't get involved and pass the issue to you, slopey shoulders is an understatement. You could end up driving 100 miles to give a toolbox talk because contracts managers were too lazy.
No real training or development. INtenral trainer was tick box exercise.
Company would forge certificates to the client so they believe the supervisors had a Taylor Wimpey SSSTS extension, shocking.
