Pros

Awesome to work in a company with a long history and tradition. Big swings, Maersk is an ambitious company. International work environment. Working for Maersk means meeting awesome people from all over the world.

Cons

It feels as if IT activities in Copenhagen are being reduced. Senior IT leadership feels exceptionally disconnected. The conversation with IT management feels unsubstantial, generic and without and real usable guidance. This is a big company and you are just another employee, and working for Maersk means accepting that. Constant reorganisations, reprioritisations and thinking about organisational visibility will take up a decent portion of your time, If you want to be perceived as a success good work is not enough.

Pros

I used to love working here. I love the people I work with. The level of clients we get to work with is great. National, International brands.

Cons

Frequent reorganizations, salaries are not even keeping up with inflation (which is not a "merit" increase, additional responsibilities for no additional compensation, frequent layoffs and offshoring. When layoffs occur, there are always several positions / responsibilities that are not backfilled and no longer owned by anyone. Changing work from home / hybrid / full time back in office policies continue to change. Employees no longer trust the leadership. There is no stability. There is no incentive to do great work. It has not been valued.
